Iron

Strike while it’s hot

Are you satisfied with what you’ve got?

I see your deficiency

Your lack of humanity

Your shadow is growing pale

Your moon begins to wane

Your dog begins to wail

Growing insane

Sink your teeth into a juicy steak pie in the sky

Recover from the lie

Without spot or wrinkle

A heavenly sprinkle

Maze

Which Way to go?

The one who isn't a dead end

Which Truth to follow?

The one who sets you free

Which Life to lead?

The one who sees it all

Garage

Keep me safe

Hide me away

It’s in your best interests

Shelter me from the storms

Protect me from the wicked

We’ll love you for it

Rejoice over me

Sing aloud, beat that drum

We give you thanks

Check me over

See if I’m defective

Keep me in your loving arms

Inside, Outside

 A 2020 poem

Wearing a smile

And yet a bag of bones

Putrefying, stinking mass

Bubbling, boiling

Troubling, toiling

Wearing a scowl

Choice morsel of anger

Arrogant, fetid mass

Self, righteous

Self righteous

WYSIWYG

Or maybe not

Is it in the eyes

Or in the soul

A whole hole

Inside, be clean

Outside, be bright

In God’s image

Shining, light

Shining light

Knit One, Purl One

A 2020 poem

Lonely boy
Steal a rib
Boy meets girl

Star-crossed lovers

Back to front
Opposites bind
Explosive energy

Sin-crossed lovers

Incessant blood
Deathly pale
The hem of His garment

Cross-crossed lovers

The Planet 3 - Mercury, The Winged Messenger

A poem from 2019

He is rising!
He gives you wings!
You fly high - on a high

Horses can be used for different things
Multi-purpose
A dancing horse that transforms
Gallops towards the Sun without getting burned
Returns with a rider in white
Bringing happy news!

Stardust, he flings and transforms us
A heavenly river he pours over us, refreshing
Golden shoes places on our feet, we dance
On golden pavements
Full of fairy smiles
We leave behind the myths
We become real!

We steal Pan’s pipes and run around
Background noise fades
Now come joy and jollity
Praise and glee
Now it increases without measure
Faith and hope shed
All that remains is love!

Our Lady

A poem from 2019

I’m sure I saw an aphid in there
Hankering after the tastes of youth
Sin’s delights were ten a penny

A cloud of not knowing replaced
Spotlessness too quickly stained
The blood dripped noisily from vein

Sweet, Holy Virgin let me stay
Sorrow for me, who once took flight
Lost and hurt and crucified

Now nestled in your bosom, praying
In everlasting folded arms, safe
Resting, eternally a child again

Victims

A poem from 2018

Forbidden fruit from a forbidden tree
It's killing me
Like second hand smoke
Like a teen on dope
Like a hangman's rope
Is there no hope?
An unwilling victim
Unclean

Clean
A willing victim
Gives hope a chance
A living dance
Clean enhance
Fresh air romance
Enlivens me
Delicious fruit from a healing tree

Manbun

A poem from January 2017

Metrosexual Samurai
Buff peace warrior
Brutally cool
Crown dude
Surfing USA
Romance viking
Virus-like spreading retro vibes
Wax candle wick
Don't burn your head!

Ah, Grasshopper
Will you walk with me?
To a better philosophy
Deity embracing humanity
Born vulnerable
Escape slaughter
His time not yet come
Grew in wisdom
Holy One
Long hair
Beard
Sandals
Before it was fashionable
Prince of Peace
Crown jewel
Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world
Kingdom opened
Loved us
Message diaspora taken hold of
Run!
Shout it!
Divine romance
Bride says Come!

Kyrie
Eleison
All our foolish ways
We humble ourselves
Lord, have mercy

Thin Gruel

A poem from 2016

You have loved me with an everlasting love
You poured out your heart
You took the body prepared for you
You were obedient even to death
No greater love
Your very soul delighted in me
Before I ever was
Before the world began
I was a twinkle in your eyes
Your love was your nature
And your love was your choice
Overlooking my failures
Overlooking my worthlessness
And you were strong
Mercy triumphed over judgment
And here I am
Overwhelmed
And my little sacrifice of praise
Seems like such thin gruel
Compared to the banquet
You have prepared

Milton Keynes

A poem from 2016

Satan laughed
But he's not laughing now
Turned pastures green
Into a concrete cow
War in Heaven
Chaos in Hell
Grids of boredom
Sterile prison cell
Angelic War
Endless Abyss
Urban planning
We all died for this
Tree of knowledge
Marital scene
Broken down
Nightmare
The hero falls
Cursed, banished
Rich legacy, farmland
Lost forever
Fallen Cherub
Modern living
Choked spirit
Enforced amalgamation
You are all one
Tower reaching to Heaven
Oh, for a Flood!
Economic revolution
Mitigate depression
Provide green spaces
Governmental hope for souls
Prediction of disaster
We are here to help you
Oh, War!
You destroy the human soul
Take life away
We wait for Paradise Restored
We wait
How long, Oh Lord, how long?

Another Song About Trees And Flowers

A poem from 1986

Here’s another song about trees and flowers
sitting in the garden but I didn’t know where I was
building up a barrier
defying all the love that you had given me
under the oak tree I sat and schemed
I didn’t know where this plan was leading me
seduced by the power of success and fame
I only wanted to build up my own name

Here’s another song about trees and flowers
sitting in the garden building ivory towers
shooting my imagination into the sky
never thought to ask why things were bad
in the world
whatever happened to my promised girl?
All those around me finding easy love so easy
but the Tower of Babel’s falling down
and I find that we’re talking a different language

Days passed
I’m wasting away
what can I find to do today?
Turn to the Bible, see what God has to say
Jesus loves you and He’s coming back some day

Here’s another song about trees and flowers
sitting in the garden, just discovered where I was
turned from the path of self-destruction
removed the crazy paving and replaced it with a straight road.
The Tower of Babel has fallen down
that’s why we’re talking a different language.

Now I don’t care about fame
I don’t care about success
I just want to glorify Jesus’ name
I’m going to do what He says because He knows best
The Tower of Babel has fallen down
that’s why we’re talking a different language.
