You have loved me with an everlasting love

You poured out your heart

You took the body prepared for you

You were obedient even to death

No greater love

Your very soul delighted in me

Before I ever was

Before the world began

I was a twinkle in your eyes

Your love was your nature

And your love was your choice

Overlooking my failures

Overlooking my worthlessness

And you were strong

Mercy triumphed over judgment

And here I am

Overwhelmed

And my little sacrifice of praise

Seems like such thin gruel

Compared to the banquet

You have prepared
