Zebra

A poem from 2017

I'm so good
I'm so bad
I'm so good
I'm so bad
I'm so sane
I'm so mad
I'm so happy
I'm so sad
I'm so wild
I'm untamed
Marked in a fight with my inner child
The angels urging me on
But I'm always tripping over
Falling into the fire
And this makes me sad
He loves me, He loves me not
He loves me, He loves me not

Stamp me with unique dignity
Spare me from self pity
Don't charge me with larceny
I don't mean to destroy your image in me
Scan me from darkness to light
Take me to your side
I roam free when you're with me
Fully human, finally
