Bug/Daddy

Two poems from 2016

Bug

Faintly burning
Heaviness swirling
Claws
Gnawing
Lightness
Swaying
Sleep
Half awake
Lack of interest
Calm calm calm
Whoosh
Thud
Thump

Daddy

Daddy dancing
He is funny!
Padding through the air
At my window
Daddy dancing
Spindly legs
Flying around in humourous ecstasy
Trying to get in

Flimsy little thing
Comical how he moves
Daddy dancing in the dusk
What's he seeing
As he treads the window pane
Inside I'm laughing
Child again
Poor daddy
