The Starry Night (The Van Gogh Trilogy 1)

A poem from 2018

Click here to see a picture of the painting, The Starry Night

Night is supposed to be calm
Behind the calm stars explode
Waiting to be found in centuries to come
God's hidden secrets
Waiting to be revealed to mankind
A sharing of His joy

My face is calm
I do not smile
It betrays the turbulence within
An explosion in my brain
A disaster waiting to happen
This is my secret

We do not see the stars
Too much artificial light
Too cosy indoors
Too much TV
Too much entranced by tiny screens
Too much we look down
We miss God's joy
