A Golden Dawn

A poem from 2018

The future is bright
A golden dawn
Am I the only one who sees we've been here before?

Failure repeats
And no one learns
Bury your head in the sands of my concerns

The future is bankrupt
That's the truth
But too much power usurped and no one can deny you

Resistance is useless
Some sigh and lament
But we just carry on trusting as you lead us over a cliff
